in need of help!!!

    went to go out in the car earlier, put the handbrake down to go but it stayed on ..... the bottom bit is like flimsy but when you pull the handbrake up it get tighter at the top.

    uncle came over and said something is jammed somewhere but only just. he can't help me (get under the car and sort it) as he's still recovering.

    jacked the car up and most of it is cased up. he thought the problem may have been near the heat plate where the tunnel of wires are. thought i would prob need to take it to a pit or somewhere with ramps etc ..... anyone any ideas?!

    to access the adjusters, take the plastic surround off around the hand brake its under there, have a gander.

    this easy to fix? / fit new ones ? as its obviously a bit awkward to take it anywhere to get fixed....

    the adjuster thing is off the handbrake lever if that makes sense.. uncle pulled it off earlier...

    New mk3 calipers required without a doubt,i replaced mine 2 weeks ago due to exactly the same problem. Don't buy used calipers!!!! :)

    mk3 calipers are gunna be newer. so should last longer.
