I would very much appreciate some guidance on injector choice for my project,

2.0 16v with jenvey itbs, the engine is unmodified for now but i would like to upgrade things later.

i have a few sets laying around, saab red tops and cosworth yellows but i am sure these ones are low resistance, and as far as i can make out i would be best with high impedance items.

my knowledge is particularly limited and at the moment i figure the high impedance would mean less noise to interfere with sensor signals.

just hoping someone can enlighten me somewhat as i have been searching for info but finding it difficult to find clarity.

ideally i would like to use OEM from another vehicle but i am interested in any options.

i will be using an megasquirt controller, wasted spark and semi sequential

    Cheers,

    Baz

For an ITB car, you need 315-370cc injectors, to deliver the fuel flow for around 250bhp.
Most ECUs have drivers to support injector impedances of 12-15 ohms. You would need to read the ECU instruction sheet to confirm which type of impedance is expected.

If you're using the Jenvey DTH kit, your best option is some new Marelli Pico injectors. They're a direct fit, and high impedance as well.
    380cc new are 60 + VAT each.

Alternatively you can use low impedance injectors with ballast resistors to up the impedance to between 10 and 16 Ohms.

The Saab 'Red tops' are 370cc each and are Bosch EV1 high impedance jobs.

I have a set of cossie beige injectors that will work a treat you can have for a few beer tokens

been thinking about this some more, THANKS for all the input!!!

measuring with a meter is always a good indicator, lol.

sometimes information overload takes over and we forget the basics, i think that high impedance injectors should be renamed as low current perhaps??!!!?,.,

i guess the cc rating is cubic centimetres?? hmmmm, wonder if that is per minute???

    CC/min yes.
High impedance = less current flow from ECU injector driver.
