nice vid, but ruined my the inane banter of the gimps. watch it, then watch the RUF porker one to put it into perpective of how fast fast really is.
Here's a vid which I picked up last year taken from a 911 following Sabine's 'Ring Taxi: http://vanadium.prg.dtu.dk/~pmc/andersj/200209_Sabine.WMV Managed to get in the 'Ring Taxi last Saturday, and it's as good as it's made out to be. Sabine leans on the car very hard, exhibits stunning car control, and 'showboats' like mad in the specatator areas and square rights/lefts. You're sitting there witnessing something truly special. Eyes literally watering. Blows the mind. Followed her later in the day and, yep, that M5 squirms all over the place outta corners.. Best thing is that you can have your beers served by the 'fastest bird in town' the very same evening. Sabine's sold the Fuchsrohre BTW (it's now renamed), and now works at the Hotel Caf am Tiergarten / PistenKlause restaurant - worth a visit for the memorabilia alone... Regards, Chris
I think the best part aboout the 'ring taxi experience is the fact that, yes she's concentrating on the job in hand but at the same time she's chatting away like it's a run out to the shops. Chris, did you enjoy the 4 wheel drift @ 120mph up through Flugplatz?
Oh, yes! ... I think sideways under v high speed braking into Tiergarten was equally memorable ... and utterly blitzing Hatzenbach ... and approaching Schwedenkreuz at an indicated 240 kmh (150 mph...) ... and picking up a different line through Adenauer Forst ... and watching cars getting eaten through Wehrseifen ('Miss-Hit-Miss') ... and watching the momentum she carried up into Kesselchen II ... and sideways through Hoe Acht and, and, and Educational!
Sounds just like my lap with her Did you get air over the sprunghugel? (last section of pflansgarten) Kesselchen isn't as boring in the taxi as it is in the Golf that's for sure.
No such luck. Did the trick of hopping into a spare seat. Managed to find two spare seats within about 45 mins (one mine, another for a mate). The Taxi's totally booked for 2004, and they were taking 2005 bookings as of May 1 2004.. Only for the super organised
