Hello, does anyone know of a suitable modern replacement for the fluffy insulation under the carpet in a mk2? The majority of mine is totally flattened or has disintegrated after having a couple of water leaks 'spring up' on me! Also the water from these leaks has found it's way under the tar like stuff stuck to the floor and in places it is coming off. Is it possible/worth trying to replace/ repair this or would I be better off scraping it all off and painting the floor? (I have to do something as the metal has started to go rusty where the water got under it). Any suggestions welcome, cheers!
