    Hi

I know a few of you guys have had 2.0l bottom ends put onto your Mk2's, i am planning on having this done to mine, (8v GTi) how much did your insurance go up by when you declared this. I am nearly 25, with 4 years no claims so am not expecting a massive jump [:s] [:s] [:s], just some sort of idea would be great!

    Thanks guys

Remember ANYTHING that isnt declared to the insurance company, especially performance enhancing mods, will void the policy in the event of a claim, end of..........

I would rather declare it, if anything did happen i wouldn't want to be left in a situation where i "hoped" they didn't notice [:^(]

My insurance went up #70. But that was going from 1.8 8v to 2.0 16v.

Is there much more work involved going from 1.8 8v to 2.0 16v, rather than to 2.0l 8v . With mine being a 90 spec i have got digipants!

I went to HIC from some other bunch after I modified the car as the old lot didnt like mods, HIC were cheaper than the other crooks, and all my mods are listed and I have an agreed value too! Limited mileage isnt a prob too as I dont go so far.
