I got my renual for the GTI from Flux, 474quid TPFT!!! Which is a rip off, i'm 26 (today) full no claims, cat 1, garaged, no claims or convictions ever.

I'm going to insure the 1.3 instead so I can save up and spend time VR'ing the GTI over the next months/year or whatever, should i still be ringing people like flux and HIC or should i ring 'normal' places like halifax, tesco's etc...

Any guesses as to the price for the 1.3 TPFT? I'll post up the quotes i get.

Just try regular insurers for the 1.3 as long as you leave it standard.

F*ck that I got the VR for 378 as I'm sure you've seen on my other post.

Surely a man in his twightlight years should be cheaper.

Got a quote from Flux 1 week ago for my MK2 1.6 driver with mods in my sig declared (minus the 40mm drop) - that was 343 fully comp. I have an SP50 or SP60 (can't remember) from Jan 2001, max no claims, and am 24 years old. Only difference I can see would be the area where you live - I'm in Welling, London Borough of Bexley.

I'm currently with More Than who can do it for the same (less all the paperwork that Flux require) and no-one can come close!!!
