I've already got my golf insured (with 4 years NCB) but I really fancy buying a 205 GTI as i've always wanted one.

Only after an old one I can run for a couple of months (until I break it ;) ) then throw it away so.....

What would be the Cheapest way to insure it?

Can I use my four years NCB if i've already used it on the Golf?

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers

You'll be wanting an enthusiast type policy - these rely on you having another car as your main transport, and will expect you to have a decent amount of NCB on the other car. Give HIC a call, they are pretty good at this sort of thing.

If its 15 years or older HIC will do it on classic car policy. You don't need any claims for that.

HIC are on 0845 1290 290 - they don't specialise in VW, they cover all sorts - I had a 1275 Mini insured with them not long ago, for about 200 TPFT as a second car to the Golf.

Got a quote off HIC today, 389 for the year TPFT

But when I said I would probably only have the car for a few months the guy (James) said that I wouldn't be able to cancel the policy?!?

    Does this sound right??

    Cheers
