I've just gotten to the end of my second year insuring my Mk2 Golf GTi 1989 with Carole Nash.
The policy is an agreed value, low annual mileage, classic car scheme and without any mods - and i'm 45 y/o.
The renewal is around 160 f/c which I thought was a tad expensive.

On the basis that i'm doing an engine swap to a BAM 20v, I decided to call Adrian Flux.

They quoted me 129 on the same basis for stock car.

I then asked what about mods etc.

They said - the engine upgrade would cost me 30 extra............and I could add other mods too for that price.

I can add the mods anytime during the term of the policy without any penalty.

I reckon that's decent value for money.
