Brentacre or HIC, that's who I've got mine with. You might have trouble if you're only 17 though even as a named driver? Good luck! :)

It might be a silly question, but why have you got that car, only for your dad to drive it?!

Can't imagine it will be very expensive for him to insure, as he has another car, so will be an enthusiast policy for second car, which for a 38 year old in South Wales isn't going to cost much. HIC are likely to be the best for this.

That not a silly question ud be suprised how many people ask me that.

The is quite long story...basically my dad bought the car 3 years back and after just over a year had to sell it because he split up with my mum and coodnt afford to run it.

That year was enuf, i was hooked on golfs, particulary that one, so i promised myself i would buy the car back.

So it came up for sale last year so i bought it, letting my heart do the work rather than my head, i obviously then realised that i would never be able to insure it so instead of letting it sit i decided to let my dad use it as he loves the car so much

    So now you know...

    ...that im a fool :p

Fair enough, and your dad must be very proud!! I can't see it costing a lot for him to insure it, and then when you're a bit older, you can enjoy it!!

Or certain compies will let you use your NCB on 2 cars this will proly work oput best for him, or ask his insurers now how much to cover both cars.
