Ok, so let me see if I can describe this well enough, I suspect it's a relay problem but looking for some help/ideas before going in and switching things around So, my wipers work perfectly fine when moving the stick down or when setting it to speed 1 or 2, when setting the wipers to intermittent I get 1 sweep then nothing, when I adjust the time delay up to increase the delay, nothing, when I decrease the delay, I get 1 sweep then back to nothing. Any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated. Oh, also, I'm not sure if my golf is a mk4 or mk5, not sure how to identify the difference, it's a 53 plate 2l TDI
That was my train of thought too, I'll have a look into the stalk disassembly, not something I've ever done before, relays are easy enough though
maybe check the relay for it, its the double width one on the fusebox. if someone has put the smart wiper relay in then that could explain why they dont work?
