    no its different

    white spirit is like turpentine

acetone is whats in nail polish remover and is about the only thing you can clean up GRP resin with. careful using it on plastic things though as it has a tendency to melt through it or make the surface go cloudy.

meths is good for cleaning off tape residue though.

Mixed with coke with some ice & lemon you'll never taste the difference.

I'm sure TSC will confirm this

WD-40, Zippo Lighter fluid (naptha), or Goo Gone (citris based product here) all work great on removing adhesive, and won't harm the finish.

The WD-40 wipes off and evaporates soon enough, the naptha evaporates a little quicker, and the Goo Gone smells better.

As mentioned, acetone will vulcanize some plastics and make them brittle or cloudy.

Old style "Gun Scrub" was the best at getting any gunk off anything - 1,1,1, trichlorethane. High as a kite... I couldn't count the number of times I came home drunk when I was a kiddie after my parents were asleep, and spent an hour spraying it on a dishcloth then inhaling it.

Isopropyl alcohol is quite good on sticky goo too, you get it from your electronics places as they use it for cleaning pcbs.
