i know nothing about cars so please help.

just got it back from the bodyshop. it hasnt been written off so thats good

    here is the list

    l/f track cont arm
    l/f guide joint
    l/f shockabsorber
    l/f wheel brg hsg
    l/f wheel bearing
    l/f wheel hub
    l/outer wheel brg hsg
    l/upp bearing ring
    l/lwr bearing ring
    rear axle subframe
    l/r axle stub
    l/inn sealing ring
    l/inn ball bearing
    l/r out wheel brg

sorry about that, but is this stuff expensive and is it worth doing?

the vento was mint like, only done 50k, one owner and fsh. well looked after like, seems a waste of a car, as it still runs and drives ok.

    is that thier insurance quote?

often when a old car is touch n go, the estimater will go over the top to make sure its written off , and also list every possible part to cover thier asses if the repair goes ahead

Which body shop did you take it too?? Some places dont like working on older cars becasue it isnt worth their time.. They can get more money for doing repairs on newer cars and often have contracts wth the like of Jaguar or other main dealers.

By giving you a higher quote ther is a greater chance the insurance company will write it off so they wont have to do it..

Thy can do half the work on say a 52 plate car which will take less time and get twice the money, they can then use that time to do other jobs.... etc etc etc..

It sounds repairable.. Biggest pain sounds like the rear stub axle... But with the right help it should be do-able!!!
