I've just had my thermostat changed and there was also a code for a sensor failure. I trust the garage as I've been going there for years and the mech showed me the VAG.COM (wish I'd made a note) but was referring to a sensor down by the thermostat he'd just fitted. I thought the ECT was on the battery side of the engine?
