Hi All Driving home from work and basically it was running low on air, went to the petrol station to put air in, but the valves are too small. Tried nursing it home and 50 yards from the petrol station this happened:
It is amazing how many people will tell you its perfectly safe to run with stretched tyres. There is a moral to that picture.
Not sure why that's happened again mate ? Is that the same wheel which blew out before and the same side ? I've got some mega stretch on mine. 9.5 rears and 8.5 fronts, and haven't had any issues ? Has the tyre been catching on anything ? Has it split again ?
Hi Richard, No this is the front wheel this time, but yes the same side. The tyre did not blow out this time or tear. just popped off the rim, due to it being low on air. The problem was that my valve was too small for the air machine in the petrol station. Now will get the valves changed and keep regulary checking the air every week now. Cheers Bobby
Hey Bobby Yeah defo down to low air by the looks of it. I had issues with my valves on my BBS's. Hardly any tyre pumps would fit for some reason ? I do like those wheels on yours though, nice to see something different
Cheers mate, that is the exact problem I am having on mine. Hopefully will have my yellow one on the road soon and then will have my BBS on them, or I may put my 16" teledials on there, see how I feel
Cheers mate, hopefully not too long now, ripped out the bucket seats and now need to put all the interior in and change the gearlever to a 02J version one
Letting your tyres run low on air (ie, not checking them regularly) should lead to revocation of your man-card, if not your licence...
mate...stretch but NOT too much. on my corrado i've bbs 9" on back, i've put a 215 tire. it streatch a bit to be nice, but NOT to be in dangerous of happen something like that.
This ^^^^^ stretched tyres = Fail .....Fit the right tyres for the way you drive.. its the only thing between you and the road.... stay safe
