Friday Better late than never what's everyone up to on this glorious day I'm just about to fire the bbq up and have a few beers and then walk the dog
40 minute 4 mile drive after work, to book seat leon in for bodywork tickle, then probably going looking at a second hand car, and a glass of 'slack-ma-girdle' real cider later, proper Somerset farm stuff.
Ooh a Friday thread, that's a blast from the past! Gonna walk the dogs shortly and have a couple of JDs this evening, tomorrow AM work on the house then out into town with my wife for a few cheeky daytime drinks. Sunday might head over to a classic car show in Uddersfeeeled with the family and mutts
I'm still at work. It's only 11:42 am, nothing major planned but might spend a bit of time with with Otto (von Bismarck) as he 'helps' me change the crappy emblems on the 128.
What everyone up to this Friday? Long weekend (thanksgiving) over here so we are heading to BC later today.
Treated myself to a bottle of this so that's tonight's plan Sat/Sun DIY and bit of car tinkering. Forecast to be nice all weekend in Yorkshire
I’m hoping to get my newly rebuilt engine cranked for the first time this summer.. Acid dipped and rebored with new 81.48mm oversized Mahle pistons, small ends, bid ends, mains all new. Lots of other new bits too. Hoping it’ll be like a new engine. Getting a bit nervous though in case I’ve missed/forgotten something that will end in catastrophe. Exciting though.
I went and viewed a 550bhp GR Yaris that the owner wanted me to chop up and stick a £6000 body kit onto.
Up at 8 this morning to take advantage of the dry weather and give my wife's car a good clean and pre winter paint protection. Wash Intensive tar remover wipedown Wash again Clay Meg stage 1 paint cleaner Then I applied a Gard-X 2 stage paint protection to it, just because I had the kit from when I bought my Mini. Did the wheels with AG Magma Finally dressed the trims with AG bumper gel and Tyres with megs tyre gel. My arms ache.
And the world’s most boring job… cleaning cars. No idea why you’d endure that. You can pay people you know
