The subject is Love (Antinkariba's choice) To be judged in the first week of February. I'm sure you'll all be able to think of something suitable, whether it's love with a view to St Valentine's Day next month, mother (or father) love for offspring or any other sort of picture that represents the concept of Love. However, knowing you lot as well as I do, please don't be too literal - keep it decent! Now for the boring bit - Rules 1) Photos to me by 31 January, please. You may send them by email (ask) or PM or link to where you've hosted them - but I may need to resize them. (No excuses from the usual 'late' crowd! ) 2) Small to moderate amount of Photoshopping allowed - sensible cropping/levels/cloning, but not fullscale manipulation. Trust everyone to do this and not cheat! 3) jpg.s only, please, preferably at screen resolution (72dpi) and not bigger than 700px either height or width 4) Photo must be taken after the start of this competition, not something you've already done 5) Any other rules I can think of as I go along
Yes - the idea being that it makes people get up off their backsides and go and use their camera/Photoshop/eye-for-a-picture skills. Having said that, I'm usually rushing around on the last day, taking pictures, or digging frantically through what I've taken that month in the hope that I can find one good enough!

I'm impressed that you're all working hard, getting your pictures together. I'm finding it rather difficult being on my own, as I don't think anyone actually loves me. Except the dog. And he's off me at the moment, as he got a whack for eating a some of the jigsaw puzzle pieces. So he's out in the conservatory, looking soulfully in, as if he doesn't even know he's done wrong, despite being told at least half a dozen times not to touch it. And the cat is poorly and hiding under the bed and the tortoises are asleep. That's about exhausted the list of any creatures that might love me....... [:^(]
