I get the feeling that your multimeter hasn't got the ability to pick up the speed of the change in the signal wire unfortunately...

Is that reading i took enough to prove that the signal from the ECU is ok ?

Not sure about the sensor affecting the fuelling but I would definitely test it to rule it out.

Yeah will give it a go

At least that will be another thing I can rule out.

Thinking back to when me and Edd changed a couple of valves.

Is there any way the camshaft timing could be out, as you need it to be 16 rollers between timing marks ?

Yeah I've got a new one on the way. ;)

I'll check the camshaft timing tomorrow when I'm home from work.

Looks like I've finally found the problem :p

Set the timing to TDC, removed the cam cover and counted the rollers, only to find there isn't 16 rollers between !

Just need to get hold of a decompression tool this week and get it sorted.

Hopefully this will cure my running problems once timed up correctly. Fingers crossed :)

Not yet unfortunately mate. Awaiting some spare time and the cam chain tensioner decompression tool to arrive in the post.

If off up to central London early tomorrow morning, so I doubt I'll have any time to start on this.
Hopefully Sunday. Even if the tool doesn't arrive tomorrow, I can still make a start on it. ;)

You can see from the marks on the cams themselves that its only one out.

Still awaiting the decompression tool which should be here tomorrow, but this morning I did manage to dismantle my old blown AGU cylinder head to remove the chain tensioner. Will swap this out for the VVT one which is in my current cylinder head. Or see how much a new one is ?
