    Hi

Realise this has probably been asked a thousand times, but do I only need the headlights and grill to convert my Mk2 Golf to Jetta front end or do I need the slam/front panel too?

go for it mate, took me 2 hours to do it, get a front panel from german and swedish or euro car parts, there 30 quid with post. All u need then is the headlights and grill.

Just done this today. For some reason it's not quite a perfect fit - top of lights and grille sticks out about half in too much. Looks kinda wierd without the eyebrow spoiler. Does anyone who's done this before know if it's supposed to be like this - and if not how to make it fit better? I'mthinking maybe the bonnet can be adjusted a little to compensate... Appreciate any ideas. For the record, I don't think it's worth the hassle, especially if it doesn't fit properly and lacks the eybrow (can't fit the eyebrow because of the misalignment).

mine fits fine? with an eyebrow fitted after?

cant see what you've done there

but yea mattingg, dead easy to do, think its about 10 bolts, and i picked the lot up from the scrappy for 25 and made the debadged grille myself

Jolfa, I'm not too sure what's wrong either since all the holes match up. Could there be a possibility that it wasn't assembled properly because I bought it pre-assembled? It's 11 bolts if you include the two holding the rad ;) . I got it off Ebay. Any chance of a picture of the corners where the lights meet the wing?

I've looked at your Jolfa pics - but need a close up. No worries, I'll just take it off and apart when the weather's a bit warmer.
