    i have just got a price to insure a jetta 1989 1.6. bell direct said it will cost me 4390.81. [:^(]

    wot is going on..

    can any one help me. i want to buy a first car like a jetta or a caddy or mayb a golf mk2.

    does any know a good insurer for a first time driver?

    help needed.

    Try Direct Line mate. They insured my girlfriend on a Golf 1.6 for a pretty reasonable amount of money when she had just passed her test (though at 24 / 25, and not 17).

    Try all the direct places you can think of (e.g. Direct Line, Admiral, Churchill) then try some specialists (e.g. Brentacre, HIC, Adrian Flux).

    You'll get a lower quote then that, but it's impossible to say who's cheapest because it's different for everyone!

    try liverpool victoria and go for a 1.3 polo or something like that

    Don't laugh... but try Tesco insurance and Barclaycard insurance. Play em off against each other.

    since experiencing one, I wish I knew about polo GTs when I was new to it all! mind you I couldnt afford one then. arse. :lol:

    If I was 17 again (I wish!) I'd be buying one of them.

    Actually I'm glad I'm not 17, I'd never afford to insure my rallye :p

    liverpool victoria for my 1600 jetta, 426 fully comp at 18 was the same at 17, mums name though

    in my name 980, 980 quid insurance for a 1600 ain't that bad, trouble is they're slow [:^(]

    Polo GT for sure!
