i have just got a price to insure a jetta 1989 1.6. bell direct said it will cost me 4390.81. [:^(] wot is going on.. can any one help me. i want to buy a first car like a jetta or a caddy or mayb a golf mk2. does any know a good insurer for a first time driver? help needed. cheers
Try Direct Line mate. They insured my girlfriend on a Golf 1.6 for a pretty reasonable amount of money when she had just passed her test (though at 24 / 25, and not 17).
Try all the direct places you can think of (e.g. Direct Line, Admiral, Churchill) then try some specialists (e.g. Brentacre, HIC, Adrian Flux). You'll get a lower quote then that, but it's impossible to say who's cheapest because it's different for everyone!
since experiencing one, I wish I knew about polo GTs when I was new to it all! mind you I couldnt afford one then. arse. If I was 17 again (I wish!) I'd be buying one of them. Actually I'm glad I'm not 17, I'd never afford to insure my rallye
liverpool victoria for my 1600 jetta, 426 fully comp at 18 was the same at 17, mums name though in my name 980, 980 quid insurance for a 1600 ain't that bad, trouble is they're slow [:^(] Polo GT for sure!
