Whilst changing my disks and pads this morning I gave the disk a few revolutions to check everything was in order. The nearside driveshaft I believe is causing a few problems...

When I turn the disk or road wheel every couple of turns it feels like it's 'jumping' a few notches somewhere along the line. It's totally random though, sometimes I can turn it 5 or 6 times without it jumping. It usually happens after I change the direction of the turn. When it does 'jump' I can hear a knock from somewhere. I cant really narrow it down to anywhere less than gearbox/driveshaft/CV joints though.

Do these symptoms mean anything to anyone? I'm thinking myself it could be a CV joint but I always thought they knocked when driving along around tight bends?

    Any advice appreciated!
