my local dealers have finally got one in, so whist pickin up some parts thought i may as well have a sit in it. outside is still ugly as hell, but was very surprised by the interior. was very comfortable, does look a hell of a lot better in real life (and when a completely black dash, as opposed to half grey) and the quality seemed much better than a mkIV (which itself is good quality). so, a tentative thumbs up.i mean, i'd never buy one, but they seem like good cars. bring on the sporty versions, then i'll have to try and blag a test drive.
I saw a couple in London yesterday, and almost walked past them without noticing each time. Look just like everything else [:^(] Hopefully the GTI will be a bit better!
I'm the opposite to you ACF - I like the outside of it but not the interior I still have a test drive of one on the way though
