Hi there, i've been following the "how to sort your k jet idling issues guide" that is on this forum. I now have a golf that idles really well but sadly has developed a new fault.

After driving it and geting the rpm above 3000 the revs dislike to come down. It takes a few seconds and it will eventually settle to around 1350rpm not the 1000 that i set it up to do.

Does anybody have any ideas what could cause this, ive cleaned out al the breather hoses, oil traps and renewed the air filter. Basiclally followed the guide to the letter [:s]

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

Check the throttle body opens and closes smoothly, the linkage has a tendancy to stiffen up which in turn can stop it making on the idle switch
