I have a Laserline alarm fitted to my Mk2, which judging by the very faded window stickers and old looking owners manual, was factory fitted. Does anybody know if the fobs can still be purchased from Laserline or if they're still in business? Many thanks.
There was a guy selling new laserline fobs on ebay a couple of weeks ago. I bought one, think it cost 2.50 + postage. If anyone else needs a replacement they might still be on there.
the insides of the fobs are easily swapped.(I used to do a lot of pcb assembly work for laserline) Someone with good circuit board repair/modding skills could also copy the coding of your fob onto another.
It would be nice to have a spare working fob in case the one i have ever stops working. But i would like to just get a new casing for this one so i can attach it to my car key instead of having to put it in a separate pocket all the time and risk losing it!
Just checked the bay and all the cases are newer than mine. Mine case isn't as wide as the ones they selling there unfortunately.
Hi Ian. I just tried to send you a photo of the fob but its not letting me send an email to a www address. Have you a different address i can send the photo to? Many thanks, Jon.
anyone got any ideas on reprograming laser line key fobs, bought one from e bay but the instructions dnt work
