Went about removing this alarm from my mk2 golf at the weekend as i am getting a new alarm. Is the LaserLine alarm factory fitted?

All cables have been removed from the unit in the engine bay to various cables in the car.

All i am stuck with now are 5 or 6 black cable form the box that was in the car that go to the fuseboard.

Just wondered if anyone has a drawing of some sort so i know what the cables go too?

When this alarm is removed should the car start ok?

    not factory fit
sounds like you may have a 996 laserline
the black wires will be the immobilising circuits and power and earth connections
and where the cuts have been made and take out the alarm wiring and reconnect the original wiring
i am in colchester essex if you get stuck

troublestarter - not one to cause trouble but last week you were up in arms about the toad install thread, today you have just contradicted yourself by telling every man and his dog how to bypass an immobiliser.

    bit confusing thats all[:s]
