want to put in a new set for winter, cold damp morning starts and all that.

don't want no fancy bright colour power increase rubbish,

just good quality brand that people have had good experiences with.

    cheers

Check if there is actually something wrong with your current leads. Run the engine in the dark and look for arcing (spray a water mist on the cables too). If no arcing, they are fine. Plug leads don't go bad like plugs.

i currently have a mix match of leads, i have seen them arch, didn't do anything about it when we swapped engine over(one of those sort it out next week problems), now the time is right to get it done. plus it doesn't fire to well in the mornings now.

i know there are a whloe host of other things it could possible be but i know these need replacing,

I would go for vag leads, think mine were around 27 quid last year.

Plugs are a different matter, all goes on personal prefference. I use bosch single electroe ones, they are cheap and work very well in all weather conditions and have never noticed a difference when i've bought more expensive ones to be honest. :)

VAG leads, possibly Bosch at a push. Stay away from ANYTHING that claims to offer a power boost.

VAG plugs are made by NGK, Bosch, Champion, Beru depending on exactly which engine you have / day of the week/ phase of the moon. Go for the cheapest ones from a known brand.

I've used the GSF Best Quality ones for all the cars, think they're Beru from memory. And, of course, you get 10% off now with your club membership card [:D]
