Hi guys, I'm new here. I'm currently out in Iraq, and with the money I manage to save on tour I'm looking to sell my car and pick up a new shape Polo GTi.

My question is, is there anything I should look out for when buying one? Have any faults been picked up on it yet? finally, if you own one, what do you think of it?

    Cheers, Mike

So you mean you know of a couple that have gone? - which hardly constitutes a major hazzard
or do you work for a dealer/gearbox repairer

Buy a new Golf Gti instead, Polo's not quite up to scratch bit of a damp squib to drive. If cash is an issue save some and get a Lupo Gti, excellent fun ;)
