We had a lot of torque steer but a change of tyres almost eliminated it.

Error, they are 195/50. A taller side wall will likely increase torque steer, also a softer sidewall. 205\50 gives you a side wall of 102.5mm, 195/50 is 97.5mm. Not much difference but some. I did notice that the Michelins had a stiffer sidewall over the Toyos. The age of your tires will make a difference too, harder and worn is no good for grip or directional stability.

Thanks for the info on the sidewall. 195 vs 205 wasn’t something I had considered. Nor was brand change either! my current tyres have a fair bit of life in them still and will have to get my moneys worth out of them before new ones
