Look at arosa's too, cheaper and just as good.

The 1.0 is a crackin motor, we've got one, brilliant about town, not too bad on a lon journey either.

    Phatvr6 runs one aswell

i want the mrs to get one when she passes her test. I reckon it'd be a great little motor either the diesel or the 16v

Ours has a noisy gearbox, could be something to look out for on a test drive.

Other than that, they're great cars! enjoy.

I'm looking for a Lupo 16v for my g/f at the moment too, seem like a cracking little car. I've not driven one yet though so hope they handle like a go-kart otherwise it'll be no good to replace the Mk1 Polo she uses now! :p

Gearbox is based on the venerable polo unit, but manufactured out of
twigs and jam instead of steel and ally, so listen carefully.

Also watch out for electrical gremlins in the wet, and jerkiness on
part throttle / stalling or bad idle approaching junctions (the siemens
throttle body is becoming a bit notorious)
