the lupo harness is all one big lump so take the lot out and strip iall the tape off. then you'll have a bunch of wires going inside the car, save all of these and make note of the ecu pin numbers on the original ECU. an wiring that goes to the old engine sensors can be pulled out, you'll also have some feeds from sensors that go inside the car keep hold of all of those as well i.e. dash sensors, heater feed for lambda that kind of thing.

then its a case of add the mk4 loom on top. to start with use the wiring diagram for your car to figure out what all the saved wires are, then use that information to work out where these wires need toi splice to the mk4 ecu loom.

what I do when doing lupo/polo -> 20v swaps is add the MK4 T10a/T14a plug to the car that way the main sensor harness will plug straight in. if its a drive by wire engine I run the main permanent live feed from T6 plug to the battery box with suitable fuse and keep the relay box, but you might prefer to relocate it inside the car

I dont have any specific guides written out, but this thread will help you ID everything on the MK4 loom:https://clubgti.com/forums/index.ph...install-faq-now-with-added-dieselness.267196/

check the link in my signature I probably have the wiring diagram for your ECU, if not let me know the engine code and I can dig one out. this rough and ready pin list might also work for you, I cant remember specifically what year I wrote it for and unless your car is an AVY take with a grain of salt:
    T10 - white
    8 - N79 & 80 valves (ignition live)

    T10a - green
2 - speedo sender pin 1 (ignition live)
3 - dash coolant temp sensor feed
5 - fuel injectors (fuel pump live)
6 - AVY ecu pin 12 (fuel reserve warning?)
8 - AVY ecu pin 3 (ignition live)

    T10b - black
    2 - coolant level sensor
    3 - speedo sender pin 2 (signal)
7 - AVY ecu pin 62 (permanent live)

    T10c - blue
9 - AVY ecu pin 9 (vehicle speed sensor)

    T10d - red
1 - dash coolant temp sensor earth
    4 - pre-cat lambda pin 3, post-cat lambda pin 4 (fuel pump live)
    6 - oil pressure switch
    7 - AVY ecu pin 17 (diagnostics K line)
8 - AVY ecu pin 22 (rev counter)
9 - AVY ecu pin 80 (fuel pump relay earth trigger)

    T10s - grey
2 - AVY ecu pin 75 (mpg signal)
3 - AVY ecu pin 78 (emissions warning lamp)
    4 - AVY ecu pin 20 (CAN-HIGH)
5 - AVY ecu pin 21 (CAN LOW)
7 - AVY ecu pin 73 (EPC warning lamp)
10 - AVY ecu pin 65 (clutch switch)

    T121 - ecu plug
    1 - earth
    2 - earth
    3 - ignition live
    9 - VSS
    12 - fuel reserve warning?
    13 - alternator dfm
    17 - diagnostics k-line - t10d/7
    20 - CAN HIGH
    21 - CAN LOW
    22 - rev counter
    28 - aircon
    29 - aircon (pressure switch)
53 - brake lights on feed
    55 - starter cranking live
    62 - permanent live
63 - cruise brake light switch feed
    65 - clutch switch
    73 - EPC warning lamp
    75 - mpg signal
    76 - aircon
