A friend in work would like a workshop manual for his lupo but he said haynes didnt do one. Did Bentley make one? Is there anywhere on the net you can download one from? And... Where are the jacking points on the rear of the lupo? Cheers, Tony.
I can't find a manual for our Lupo either, it's a pain. As for jacking, with a trolley jack I tend to put it under the rear beam but as near to edges where it mounts to the body as possible, ie. not right in the middle as it might bend the beam. That's usually where I jack Golf's up too.
Volkswagen Lupo The manual for this model has been short-listed for consideration. Book No: NM0011 ISBN: 0000025925 Web price: No price available. [:^(]
I looked on ELSA, there's some incomplete technical info on the Lupo. I couldn't find anything about the jacking points. Do you hvae an owner's manual and what does it say in there?
I thought you shouldn't jack a car on the rear beam? mat-mk3... does that mean they've stopped making it then? If there's an ISBN number isn't it possible to order it from somehwere like WHsmith? Paul c... Ill ask him when he gets in. Im certain he has one. Thanks for the info people.
Right... He's just got into work now. He knows the jacking points for the scissor jack, they're in the manual. But what he wants to know is how to jack up the rear using a trolley jack, and still have the wheels hanging down. He wants to paint the rear drums. Cheers, Tony.
Er... don't get what you mean? Still the rear beam as above, just jack it up, stick an axle stand under the beam, preferably near to the outside of the car rather than the middle as mentioned, it's fine. On the Lupo there isn't really any practical alternative to doing it this way with a trolley jack, I'd certainly trust the beam to hold up better than the sills or something if you stuck a jack under there!
