Phoenix Gold are a respected company who produce good products... the Octane range is an entry level from Phoenix Gold... i would say they offer good value for money while still getting decent gear !

I wouldnt bother with the 6x9s if your running a sub... i would go for a decent headunit... then one amp running the sub and the other running a nice set of front speakers...

run front speakers ditch the 6x9's. 6x9's are good for a bit of low bass and normal music

but with a sub there is no point and they just wont compare to a great set of componants up front so you may aswell not bother

however if you dont wanna spend daft money then they are a respectable enough alternative

but if you can find some good componants

on my advice go for the cheaper of the focal range

the polyglass 165 V2's are fantastic at 200 for the pair [:D]
