Right where to begin.... set out this evening to change my starter motor for a newer one changed it and it was wrong so I put the old one back on fine, started her up selected reverse and the gear tower hit the solenoid terminal which made some funky sparks and some smoke ... no problem moved the terminals on the starter motor , now I have no gears apart from first and reverse great so I then noticed the bottom cable wasnt moving the selctor , tried moving it with no joy its stuck solid so I then removed the gear tower and the centre rod with the spline on the top doesnt go up and down like i think it should? Anyone got any ideas?
