I see in the handbook there's a 3rd kind of key with a number so to order replacement keys, does anyone know how easy/hard it is to get another without this unit/number I have two keys for my gti but wonder if lost both or one how hard to get another cheers anyone knows
usually you had some main keys and a valet key, plus a tag with the lock number on it. the 3rd key would do ign but not the glovebox afaik. if you went to vw with your vin number, they should be able to cut you a new key, and if you're lucky it might have a tag with the lock code on it
not worried but it in back of mind of situation may occur, like you say sure with abit of wonga vw could sort it...cheers
