its on a mk1 1.6 cabbie gl. its different to the carb on on my 1.3 which has a 2e2 carb so i cant adjust it like i did on that. just wondered what way to turn the mixture screw (which is on top of the carb) to make it leaner. cheers
Turn it anticlockwise. the 2E is the only carb where you turn anticlockwise to lean the mixture out. Just a easy way to remember.
Hello, I have the same carb and it started consuming about 15l/100km , so how many turns to rotate fuel/air screw after tighteen it at bottom Thanks
mixture doesn't tend to just change itself on these, chances are something else is wrong with it https://clubgti.com/forums/index.php?threads/1-6-1-8-pierburg-2e2-carb-faq.124945/ coolant channel o'ing in inlet manifold would be 1st check
I changed oring in inlet manifold , but removed the air/fuel jet screw to clean it and now how many times to turn for best air fuel mixture
ah I see, I've checked a few manuals I have around and cant see a basic setting for it, just adjustment procedures with a CO meter
