Hi I have a Golf GTI MK4 year 2000 8v which I have owned for a couple of years. Just recently whenever I am stuck in traffic for a while the idling becomes intermitent and lumpy and sounds like its misfiring the engine management light comes on and then cuts out. I can restart the car and limp home misfiring. If the car is left for a few hours it starts fine again with the engine management light still on and as long as the car is not in traffic seems to clear itself and the engine management light goes off. The car drives great, as normal, until I hit traffic which happens alot. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards Troy
