mk1 1.6 gti swallow tail

    ive been offerd one it needs restored but everything is there, it has no rot anywhere what sort of money is it worth, obviosley it is very hard to value something like this over the net but im after ball park figures cheers guys,
    ps ive wanted a mars red one for years but ill keep that between us ;) :lol: :lol:

    i hearddan has now bought it, paid 30k i think,


    i recon 45k would be reasonalble to take it off his hands :lol:;)

    no chance mate,put it this way, its not been started for years its a mess and id still straight swap my scirocco for it complete with my girlfriend on the passanger seat ;)

    What year is the car? It won't be a GTI and a swallowtail, if it is then buy it as you've got your hands on a prototype 'Sport Golf'! It may be an early small light GTI though which would be quite sought after.

    Price is all dependant on condition I would have thought and how much work and what parts it needs to get it on the road. Does it have an MOT? Is it structurally sound?

    Sounds like an excellent project in any case! :thumbup:

    very hard to put a price on this but with what youve said, mainly. "no rot" and "complete" its going to be worth at least 500.
    if its 100% complete and just needs a respray it could be worth upto 1000.

    if its 100% complete with no rot and just needs a good strip and clean then maybe upto 1500

    and if its all the above with low mileage and history then realisticly could fetch upto 2500

    so basically withut more info and pics. no idea mate [:D]
