id like to see some pics too! :p it sounds great

    im using a mondeo[:$] coilpack on my mk1 20v.

    and motorcraft leads (genuine ford)

then i just ran a knife around the plug end of the lead to cut off the enlarged section. and around the cam cover cover end of the lead and slid this up the lead to get the correct depth for the 20v head.

i hope this makes sense [:s] i can post some pics if you'd like :)

here's the modified spark plug lead.

i've used 2 set's of leads and picked the leads that fitted the best for length. i think that they are 30 per set of four

    i hope this helps

    coilpack

well guys what a week be having trouble with the cab been having to tow it to get the thing to run so didi the following over the weekend

    made a new loom
    fitted the peugeot coil pack
    got 16v plug leads

so it was a busy weekend and it still wouldnt start[xx(]

so anyway after a conversation with toyotec the penny dropped after all this time of trying to get it to run right it turned out it was the ecu all along

origianly i had 4x coil on plugs so in the ecu i had 4x coil drivers paired so i could use the cops in a wasted spark mode but now have a single coil pack

anyway to cut a long story short i removed to coil drivers and the resistors (900ohm:o )
replace the 4 resisitors with 2 300ohm ones bit of a resolder not my strong point but i did it anyway and

    vrooom wooosh vrooom wooosh

it started and run better than ever before so the morale of this story is if your going to run megasquirt build the board yourself :p :p :p

    lesson learnt

so are you running with the OEM 1.8t coil packs?

that sort of thing is the only thing putting me off using MS ATM.

Dont let that put you off.
He is running 306/106 pug 4 pole coil packs. Late Zetec ones will work as well providing you readjust the dwell setttings. I recokon I can get early ADR passat coils packs to work as well. With what we have done I cant see why OEM coil packs will not work but we will leave that to the next project ;). Apart from the coil packs everything else is OEM. For the price of this controller you cant loose.
