MK1 big bumpers

who has a venom big bumper kit on their mk1 golf? i bought a set second hand, was just wonderin if you have to put the steel bar and side brackets from the original bumper for it to fit.

 

if you've got the front splitter spare once you've done it...

 

big bumpered mk1's look stupid.sorry i had to get that off my chest [:^(]

 

y do they look stupid?in my opinion they bring the car up to date and save me spending bucks keeping the original ones black n shiny. i want something different to the norm

 

they were quite novel on a mk1 in 94 but to be honest ive never seen one done properly.the r and a fibreglass ones that were popular back in the day were horrendous.

yea ive seen an r and a version of the kit and wasnt impressed. ive got the venom kit which im quite impressed with, ive seen a pic of a blue mk1 owned by one of the members on this very site and it looks cool.

 

each to ther own i spose.

ive put some pics in the members bit

 

did u have 2 put the original metal bar and side brackets into the big bumpers?

 

i made some brackets and fibreglassed them to the bumpers so i could screw the metal brace onto it

im not sure how im going to fit the sides this time

 

check the classifieds and put in a wanted/for sale advert cheers
