Hi just joined the forum, so I hope this is the correct section for this if not I apologise.

I have just purchased a MK1 Caddy, this will be my first car project so any advice or support will be more than appreciated. So the Caddy, it's an F reg and was a 1.6 petrol, unfortunately that's about all I know due to the V5 not been present at the time of purchase so am currently in the process of applying for it.

I bought the shell and various bits from a bloke called Chris in Hemel Hempstead, really nice guy if anyone knows him. True to his word the body is in very good condition, due to been dry stored, so hopefully not to much cutting and welding.

I plan to try and update this thread as often as I can but bear with me if progress is a bit slow, due to the car not been stored at my house.

Anyway enough talking time for some pictures

Yer it is a really good start! I don't think there are that many straight Caddy's left anymore.

A small update but slow progress is better than no progress right?

    Both doors off

    Dash out

Then started to remove some of the loose sound deadening

Now am unsure if I should remove all the sound deadening this prime, paint and then install new sound deadening or if I should just remove the stuff that is loose. Any thoughts?

I think it's worth getting some modern sound deadening.

Makes it feel a bit more solid. Depends on what your doing with it.
