Hi guys, bought my mk1 some years ago resto and engine swap 99% there. The problem I have is the car has been turned to a track car at some point and or LHD and some clever [xxx] has cut the brackets off the firewall/bulkhead that holds the fusebox.

Has anybody got some of these brackets in a shell that is being cut that I can buy or am I going to have to make them, if it’s making them could somebody please take clear pictures, thanks

You're in luck, (very dusty) shell's stripped bare at the moment...

A careful cut would bolt in, you wouldn’t even need to weld.
Give MK2 Spares a call and ask them to cut one out for you (send the above pic to them to explain).

    Fabbing one up now @PhilRyder.

I’ll be going down the rivet in route because the cars got the loom and carpet in now, didn’t want a rouge bit of weld sputter causing a wiring fault or fire .

    I’ll post pics after

@PhilRyder sorry mate didn’t see you blatantly wrote “you wouldn’t even need to weld” was skim reading.

I have fabricated one now and fitted, not a factory look but close enough.

    measurements for fusebox:
    W: 200 mm
    D: 33 mm
    H: 95 mm
Side lugs are 65 mm up and 15mm in to the centre.

Pics to follow. (don’t all order at once)
