My daughter is 16 next week and we have been talking about potential first cars. We were thinking of buying it now and me running it for a year before she gets it. Would a mk1 golf be a good car insurance wise? Would there be a big difference between the premium for a 1.3 tintop and a non gti convertable? We live in the OL11 postcode, would it be possible to post up a very rough guide price for a newly qualified driver with a mk1? Thanks
