Not a lot as its an Insurance right off Cat C, the dash is mullored, has done mega miles = very doubtful if you get any history with it, if it was half descent surely the owner would have kep it and repaired it themselves?

Hard to say really just going on the pics + you cant see what its like up close likr the sills, floorpan, innerwings, scuttle and boot floor etc but i personally wouldnt pay more than 700 but thats just going on what you can see from the pics- it could be alot better thatn it looks or could be alot worse.

Are you anywhere near the Canvey islands though? Its frigging miles away from me and would cost stupid amount to get it not that im interested in stealing it off you.

Probably been sprayed, generally messed around with, pop up sunroof, realistically you'll get 800-900 with MOT and dash/damage repaired. If you wanted good money you'd need to make it as original as possible. As Gringo says you need to check the condition of sills, floors, inner wings, rear arches, rear chassis rails, boot floor, the list is nearly endless. I'd wager that it'll need some kind of welding.

For me its worth 300, 400 tops.

its worth more than scrap for sure. unfortunatly its far from original, the worst being the glass roof. if it had mot you would get say 900 for it. but the dash and an mot will cost alot as its a mk1 gti and they allways do. the body looks good but i'd bet it needs some welding.
i'd budget for breaking as it would break for good money. say 800 up. so i'd be wanting to pay around 300 tops, but at that distance i'd look for something more profitable and newer.
