Mk1 golf S1 clocks

    My car is a G60 with S1 clocks and i have a faulty fuel n temp gauge. Anyone able to give advice. Style of clocks below

    if they're both just dead, this could be pointing to the voltage regulator as it feeds them both. if you earth the dash temp sensor wire it should go to full, likewise short the pins on level sender to get same result

    Both are not working. The fuel one had been working but now stopped.
    Are the wires for each one easily identifable? A wire just running to each gauge i hope.

    Probably a solder track, but still easily traced.
