Part no I have had to replace my Mk1 Gti speedometer and the one now fitted has a screw type thread as opposed to the clip on type. Please can anyone advise to the part no and best place to get a replacement. Cheers Dave
Thanks as ever for your reply so soon, you have given me a starting point, but the part no does show it to be for a Left hand drive golf so may be to short. But I now have something to work with and : 172957803H speedometer drive cable may well be the one. Thanks again for all of your input.
yes sorry, 172957803H is correct for RHD early type with threaded fitting, my mistake. you could try scirocco 532957803C and D but those dont show anything either unfortunately

checked again it was 531957803D you got right (site is down so just copy/pasting part numbers from the URL ) if so thats a LHD part at 1035mm long so may find its a little short. its 532957803D for the RHD version
I saw it was for a LHD, but was a similar length to the one fitted, anyhow I got panicked after your message so cancelled the order and did what I should have done in the first place, and ordered one from Crazy Quiffs!
172957803H is apparently 1550mm long, but with different routing the LHD one may reach? anyway if you found the correct one from CQ you'll be fine
