Hello guys, After some advise really. I have a mk1 golf tintop with a 1.8t and 02M box. The car is currently on JOM coilovers that it was purchased on and the ride was fine while it was pushed about but on the road is horrific. I know the 1.8t and box is in the area of 260kg with liquids. just want to know what guys are running because I don’t want standard suspension struggling or not handling properly with the extra weight. I plan on spirited driving on weekends and 2/3 trackdays a year. any replies are appreciated, Thanks
After the overwhelming amount of replies I’ve decided to order GAZ GHA coilovers. seem expensive but after a lot of reading they do custom spring rates and dampening valve setup for individual customer applications such as engine swaps, track focus, etc… hope this helps someone
I wanted to get the Bilsteins with eibachs but the front wheels are 8j and rears are 11j so not got the room for the coil diameter. also didn’t want the front too low as the 1.8t sump sits low as is
