    'lo all,

Before my driver gets towed away to be cubed, I was thinking of putting the GTI stylie steels that it has onto my other 'arfs MK2 CL. The steels on my Driver are 14" though. Hers are 13".

Would this cause any problems? Is anything on the CL - like the gearbox, rev counter etc - made especially to suit the 13" wheels, and will the speedo be out? By much?

    Thanks

    Trev

with the right tyres it wont be a problem

185/60 14 tyres are whats needed.

Top stuff, thanks lads. The 14" steelies on the Driver had 185/60 14 tyres. So her car now has some cool GTI steels on with quality tyres, instead of the tired old original ones.

Might seems a daft thing, but don't forget to tell her insurers.

changing from vw stels to vw steels, i wouldn't have thought there's a need. is any insurance assessor really going to be able to tell the difference between 2 sets of vw steels that are at least 13 years old. it's not like putting alloys on...
