Thought it was about time I started getting my name out there on forums and get talking to people haha, I seem to be spending a lot more time working on my car lately compared to socialising! The car is my pride and joy I got it last year when I was 19 and it wasn't the best example but I've just always had my heart set on a mk2 16v! I've been to the nurburgring in it and had my fun in it but I'm not happy with its condition and the feel of the car, so 2 weeks ago I decided I was going to start rebuilding the entire car the way I want it... big job for a 20 year old some people are saying but there's only one way to learn :)

All feedback is welcome I'll post up my long to do list soon but it's going to be a fast road/track car for weekend use mainly as I now have a diesel polo as a daily.

What is the best way to upload photos to my thread? [:x]

Be careful, i bought a vauxhall Chevette at 16 and set about building a rally car with a ford focus engine, Sierra box, scimitar axle etc. Its easy to get carried away and dig yourself into a deep hole, ending up with a car that doesn't get completed. Remember to set yourself goals, plan it out and don't start two jobs at once unless it's nessasery, otherwise you'll get halfway through lots of jobs feeling like your making no progress and lose enthusiasm. Think of it as a competition against the car, don't let it defeat you, "if you're not winning, you're not trying hard enough" Colin Chapman
There's more to it than meets the eye. Good luck mate.

I'm going careful for now! I'm working 1 panel a time and I've stripped it to a bare shell in a week I'm pretty confident doing the build as I doubt I'll lose interest in it [:D] I'll get some photos up soon.
