Mk2 16V Induction kits?

    So what is available for the car mentioned above in this field? Is it just a panel filter rather than a bolt on? And do you really notice any difference?

    you can get a foam lower air box..nearest thing to a induction kit...as for differance,noise mainly..it sonds faster

    think i remember hearing awesome gti had a kit made by pipercross or something that was for the 16v. don't hold me to that tho

    Stroeve do one don't they? Im going to be making one for my 8v, wonder if i should market it? K-Jet induction kits are few and far between.

    yep stroeve do one about 100 and something..complete waste of time and money.
    Standard air box must be good for 180-200BHP

    your not wrong there.

    if you want to replace the filter just get a panel dont bother wasting your money on anything else ;)

    Autocavan produced an intake airscoop for the 16v years ago, good for 3-4bhp apparently.

    Those of us that have our cars tuned at Stealth may have noticed Vince put his hand down the front of the airbox to see if the restrictive snorkel is still in there, I took mine out and cut the corner/most of the side of the airbox out too, removed the thermo flap crap whilst I was at it. :p

    what i did is to take out the bottom of the airbox, cut out all the junk inside, block the hot air feed, then cut the feed from behind the headlight and rig up a cold air feed from the grille

    I've had Pipercross induction kits fitted to both my Valvers. Doesn't really make any performance difference. But they were both free and the engine makes a lovely induction roar with em fitted. :)

    I wouldn`t let a foam filter near my engine.

    Good old k+n and airbox mods for me.
