    * Engine (with everyting) and gearbox
    * Both wiring looms
    * Diagnostic loom and plug
    * All coolant pipes ect ect
    * Gear linkage and selector
    * Air box - if you'll be using one

    Tbh, i'd strip the whole car for as many parts as i could, and make some money back, rather than scrap it!

    The engine loom comes in two parts mate.

    Sorry, forgot to add you'll need the ECU.

    Are you keeping the Leon clocks or are you using the Mk2 ones ?

    * If you keep the Leon clocks, you'll need to keep the keys ect.

    * If not, you'll need to have your ECU de-immobilised.

    Engine mounts all depend on what gearbox you'll be using ?

    For eg - Im using a standard Mk2 gearbox on mine, so i used the standard Mk2 mounts all round and Mk2 driveshafts.

    Subframe wont fit, nor will struts or the steering rack (i think).

    Sweet jesus, that thread is wild!

    Ill be using the Golf mk2 box then lol
    I didnt really want to be welding mounting posistions into the shell.
    Can the mk2 box cope with the power?

    Depends how much power you'll be making really, and the condition of your gearbox.

    Im using an 020 in mine, as im not running massive power.

    But i knoiw in time i'll want more power, so its worth thinking about. :thumbup:

    If the gearbox is an 02j then you don't need to be welding a plate in the chassis. Not sure if the mounts are the same but the mk3 rear mount can be bolted to the gearbox. I know that the mk3 subframe allows it. Not sure on the mk2's.

    If you do go that route, you'll also need to convert to hydro clutch.

    Go with the 02a/j box. Do it right first time I reckon. Early o2j had 100 mm flanges or use an 02a like most of us. So you can use mk2 driveshafts

    I've always read the 020 isnt up to over 180. That it would be okwith a quaife or peloquin diff.

    Look into the seat cable change conversion for the clutch. Or use a corrado pedal box which is a direct fit and allows hydraudlic clutch. All you have to do is mount the master cylinder in the bulk head. Look at my thread if you want to see the basics?

    As for subframe. Mk2 is fine unless you want wide track. Use mk2 pas rack. Mk2 pump with mk4 pulley
