What's the widest, no issue size with standard offsets? I'd like to reduce the unsprung weight with something like team dynamics pro 1.2, but the smallest width is 7". From the stock wheel thread is 6.5" ET33 the biggest no issue size?
yes the stock G60 splitrim BBS wheels are the widest oem fitment I know of at 6.5J. 7J wheels will be no problem so long as you pick the right offset though!
yeah i'd say that would be about right, my TSW Omegas are ET28 and have never given me any arch trouble (Untill I went wide track but thats another story )
I think the widest you can go is 7" on an ET35 as on full lock the tyre is very close to the ARB. That was with 15" rims. I tried some old 7.5x16" ET35 wheels I had lying around and they did hit the ARB on full lock.
ET35 7x15 pro race 1.2 are the wheel of choice on the mk2 championship cars, no fitmet issues at all.. thats with 195/50 r15's We happen to supply these too Send us a PM if your interested!
Ill chirp in on this: Ive got Exip RA wheels 15x7" and they are ET 25 or 27 (cant remember which off the top of my head) with 195/45 tyres (need to got to 50s really). no rubbing and the car is about 50mm lower than standard
